For the 2026 Royal Ballet and Opera Prize, we had the choice to choose between the Mayerling and the Marriage of Figaro. I chose the opera, and chose to reinterpret it into a production inspired by Bunraku puppetry. The puppet is representative of the Countess, wearing a screen printed kimono, with the performer also in Kimono with traditional sashiko embroidery on the sleeves. Modelled by Izzy Wheeler
